Hello everyone. This is my first Google Chrome Theme. Chrome is an excellent new browser with great functionality. I wanted to make a darker, more glossy theme that fits well with Vista, so that is why I came up with this Chrome Depth theme. This theme features a new black content bar, with buttons similar to IE buttons, but with a darker and glossier look. The tabs have been changed to blend better with the glass window frame of Vista. This version has the basic idea that I wanted, but it still needs some cleaning up with the buttons and tabs. Hope you enjoy.

Notes:

*Theme designed for use with Vista and aero enabled.*

Disabling "Always show Bookmarks bar" gives a cleaner, more streamlined appearance with this because I like Google's minimalist approach to Chrome. For this reason, I did not theme the bookmarks bar.

Theme tested with Google Chrome beta v.0.2.149.29.

Feedback is welcome as this is my first Chrome theme.

Instructions to use theme:


1. Download the Theme.

2. Extract the files from the archive using tool such as WinRar or 7-Zip.

3. Navigate to the following directory:

Vista - C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\LocalSettings\AppData\Google\Chrome\Application\0.2.149.27\Themes

4. Within your respective folder, backup the Default.DLL file so that you can always go back to the default Google Chrome theme.

5. Copy the Default.DLL file from the extracted archive into the above folder, thereby replacing the previous Default.DLL file.

6. Open Google Chrome and the new theme should appear.

transparency effect will only work in vista- it looks all white in xp
